So yeah, while I doubt there's anyone left on LJ who hasn't read book seven, I'll be courteous enough to put up a spoiler alert.

I agree with just about everything you said.
My head literally couldn't take in the book the first time round. I had to reread it.
Harry/Ginny are one of my favourite ships. Maybe it's because originally she was kinda forbidden or something. I dunno. But there wasn't enough and it seemed a little, forced in at times.
I could never hate Ron. As soon as he came back I just melted.
Umm, yes the Deathly Hallows, really cool plotline but wasn't given enough time. It just kinda seemed a way to explain things and help Harry. They could have been this whole other dimension.
And the ending. I was quite excited by the first bit, where Harry has just defeated Voldemort and they're celebrating but saddened by losses... and then she goes and does the whole fairytale ending (although I loved Teddy hooking up with George's daughter). It was just a bit... it was too different to the whole seriousness and elation of the battle.
I actually did like reading this so :)
