In Ebony's Room

[OOC: Continued from the dinner threadJay led Ebony into the privacy of her room, and pulled her around the corner of the doorway so that they were safely out of sight from any dinner-goers who might glance their way. Jay's spontaneity caught Ebony completely off guard. The eagerness with which he'd seized her took Ebony completely by surprise and she was shocked to find how much she needed it. It was as if he was pouring everything he couldn't explain, and answering everything she needed to know into one wordless act of love. As he pulled her close, she felt all her fears and inhibitions slip away. One thing grabbed hold of her mind; that he wanted her, fiercely, and she would not deny him.

The hand on her back, preventing her from retreat felt reassuring, strong, and wonderfully safe. Returning Jay's kiss with equal fervor, Ebony wrapped her arms around Jays neck entangling her fingers in the folds of his new clothing. One hand trailing up the nape of his neck, pulling her wanting body even closer to his, Ebony closed her eyes and allowed herself to become lost in the delirium that had so suddenly taken her captive.

The decision to divulge her snooping made her cringe inwardly, but if things were ever going to truly be right between the two of them, they needed to be honest with one another. Maybe if Jay saw her making steps, confessing her wrong, then he'd be more open with her. For a brief moment, Ebony's mind wandered back to that awful day when she'd decided to be honest with Bray. To say that her attempt backfired would be a gross understatement. But this was different, this was Jay. She wanted to believe what they had together was strong enough to survive petty squabbles, and strong enough to even survive honesty ( ... )

Had anyone else called him 'general,' Jay might have protested, but with Ebony, the term had always had... other implications. A wry smile crossed his lips as she pulled away, her shy demeanor and playful promises doing little to slow his heart rate. He hadn't brought her back here to do anything questionable, exactly, but having her in his arms again, with her teasing kisses and breathy whispers, had reminded him fully of his fondness for their evenings together ( ... )
