hee, Moist is so besotted! I have always loved how despite all his confidence and cons, he's never been able to get the upper hand with Spike.

One puzzle though--you describe her eyes as 'alight' and by that you mean lit up, right, not landing on something?

Sorry, love, that's a very British usage of me. I always forget that it's that until it's pointed out by someone who isn't from around here. *g* Fortunately, I'm not out-of-fandom with it here. :)

*grins at the first paragraph* Oh, I know. I love those two, and especially her. Spike - as per my last post - is probably my favourite Discworld character of all (closely followed by Susan, Carrot and Angua, but not too closely :)).

ETA 2: FWIW, it's rather an old-fashioned usage, too, but they are meant to be vaguely analogous to Victorian England, so I guess it still goes. *g*
