“Yeah?” he asked, sticking his head round the bathroom door.
She looked over at him, her brow furrowed. “Where’s Cara?”
He relaxed. “She’s with McKay, he offered to look after her tonight so we could have some time alone.” He flashed the smile that so often got him out of trouble.
“He doesn’t have her in the lab, does he?”
“Nah,” John grinned, kissing Elizabeth’s forehead. “He’s trying to teach her chess.”
