Wesker's eyes were drawn to the movement of Sheik's fingers across the strings. Beneath the shield of his sunglasses, his gaze took on an emptiness that Ada would have been familiar with the time she put him into his trancelike state. He blinked then, putting it aside when Sheik stopped, putting it away. As Schuldig had discovered nearly a year ago, Wesker was susceptible to mind manipulation. The intelligent often were, especially when such simply didn't exist on their world.
Reason told him to stay back from Sheik. Their last encounter hadn't ended well, Wesker half-blind and unable to focus on the enemy that he needed to fight. If there was one thing he hated, it was that loss of control. While Sheik and his little band of heroes hadn't defeated him per se, they had put a large dent in his belief that nothing could or would stand in his way

Perhaps against his better judgement, Sheik lowered his gaze from Wesker to the wolf-cub. For a moment they watched each other, the blue eye unblinking. That was interesting. Wasn't the other eye golden? And the blue was similar... Very similar to that which occasionally flickered up behind Wesker's sunglasses. And all of the direwolves seemed bound to their masters. Some form of symbolism, perhaps? He pitied the little creature if it was going to be as torn as Wesker was
