The warm water slowly soothed him; as it had been too long since he got to really close his eyes and forget about the coldness around them. Not that his mind was at all at ease. Yes, this month was a hard one - even though he wasn't home. He wondered and still wasn't sure if it made things easier or harder.

His eyes rested on his eyepatch as it was removed, before he very slowly sunk down into the water without so much as a sound.

After a while however, he did look behind him.

"Sebastian."

Sebastian soaked the sponge into warm bath water, causing it to be filled with bubbles. It was unusual that Ciel made idle conversation during his bath.

Though he looked back, he didn't make eye contact with his butler. He simply spoke, dropped his eyes back to the water where he watched his own fingers play with the bubbles on the surface.

"Remove the glove from your hand. Either one; I don't care."

His tone remained the same, the same idle wonder he used when he was curious. He finally looked up at his butler again, waiting

Sebastian　looked at Ciel curiously, but did as he was told-- removing his left gloved with his teeth, as his right was occupied with the soap and bubbles.

"And?"
