The tyrant's head snapped to face the intruder. Who was he? Why was he standing in his way? Didn't he know who, or what, he was dealing with?

The weapon. The wretch wanted to fight. So be it. The glow was distressing, brought about by some magic no doubt, but it made no difference. The fool would be taken care of swiftly and easily.

Quickly, Alfred drew his right hand back towards his chest and then whipped it outward. A crimson arc flew from his wrist, the blood droplets igniting almost immediately on the ground near the stone wall of the bridge.

Slowly, he took a few steps toward the band of fire and the man who dared to stand in his way, raising in clawed left hand in preparation.

By the time Alfred had noticed Genesis's leap to the other wall, a sword was screaming down at his head. In a split second sacrifice, he made an attempt to crouch and threw his tentacles to the air in a wild attempt to keep the blade from anything vital.

The metal sank through the muscular flesh of a few tentacles, and even managed to carve a bit into his shoulder.

Enraged further by the pain, the monster took a desperate swing at his attacker with his claws.
