This place, World's End, it continued to supply new and strange twists. Of course Diana, who had seen many things, and been to many worlds, many dimensions, was nearly impossible to surprise. Still, the dreams and the tower, the creatures - the grim atmosphere hanging over the population here, that could be disquieting, at times.

Perhaps she would adjust.

It was the creatures that inspired her transformation back to her standard armor. Despite its relative inappropriateness within the context of this place (this city? This town?), she did feel more comfortable in battle when dressed appropriate for battle.

And it was in the aftermath of battle, blood still running hot, that she decided to take up a certain new acquaintance up on his offer to stop by this place called ThornIt was, she discovered upon arrival, quite like most bars. That, in itself, could be seen as odd - there were working gaming machines, for example, despite the lack of electricity. There were round tables and chairs. There was also -- she frowned a bit. It was, indeed, a stripper pole. And if she hung around long enough, she just might see Kuronue spinning around on it. The demon was either famous or infamous for his act, all depending on who you asked. Matt had no real opinion.

He'd pulled out a cigarette, and was lighting it up when she came in. Matt took a long drag of it, letting the carcinogenic smoke soothe him in a way that only a few things could. He looked towards the door then, expecting to see a familiar face. Not that hers was completely unknown -- there had been that little exchange of video. And though he recognized her, she hadn't looked quite like...this at the time.

Matt started at her boots, his eyes steadily climbing up the expanse of bare leg to...panties. No, not panties. Something different but no less intriguing. She had a good six inches on him in terms of height, but that only added to her statuesque quality. It was like she was created instead of born, made to be perfect from the get-go.

And she was standing there...in Thorn...wearing that"Christ." The ( ... )

Well, the stripper pole was definitely distracting. Diana eyed it for a moment before moving past it, toward the table occupied by a semi-familiar young man. He was rather shorter than she'd expected, but otherwise quite recognizable. Somehow, in all her years living in the modern world, she had very rarely stumbled upon a redhead.

Also, she heard that. Much like she's always heard most things said in her general vicinity. The gift of enhanced senses. She raised an eyebrow and rested her hand on the back of the chair opposite him.

"Do you feel the need for witnesses?" she asked with a tiny, wry smile. And then, "May I join you? Matt, yes?"

Hopefully she can't read minds too, because Matt was thinking...if he could just get her up on that pole...he'd probably become a legend. Hell, it might even be enough to get his fanclub finally up and running. The DoorMatts just died on the vine for some reason.

"That's me." Matt removed the cigarette from between his lips, ashes falling to the table as he kept it between his fingers for the time being. "Yeah, go ahead. Something to drink if you want it." He nodded towards the bar, inviting her to help herself. That was was the policy when Tifa wasn't around, and so far it had worked.

He was quiet for a few seconds. His social skills had improved since coming here, but he still had his antisocial moments. But this silence was...well, more about figuring out the best way to avoid a boot to the neck.

"Nice outfit."

It could still go either way.
