He gets his answer in the form of an opened door. Not much light actually spills out of the bar. It's been closed for the day, after all, awaiting the owner's revival. Matt pauses in the doorway, leaning against the frame briefly for support.
"Here."
He doesn't speak into the communicator. The other should be close enough by now to hear his voice. Matt takes a deep breath and steps into view, just barely, thanks to the night around them. He's alive again, the fatal injuries healed in the past 24 hours. But that didn't mean he was completely healed. He still had injuries. He still had pain. But that was the least of his worries right now. He was fueled by other things.
His eyes scanned the darkness until they fell upon B's form, and Matt hurried in that direction. "Fuck, I don't know which direction he brought me from..." He raked a hand through his hair, practically turning in a circle as he looked around them.
B crosses the ground a little closer toward Matt, then stop and studies him closely, as well as he can in the dark.
"Matt. What happened? You were killed, yes? There was a video." B knew from the incident with Roxas that resurrections occurred much more quickly here than where he'd been a previous resident, but he also knew (from firsthand experience) that finding yourself alive again after being killed was something of a shock to the senses.
"Please, if you can, explain what happened." If there was something on the loose, attacking people, it would do no good to go running off without a somewhat-solid plan in place.
It was a shock to the senses. He'd come close to dying once before, but this was the first time for him -- in World's End. He did have the advantage of dying once before though, the event that brought him to this place to begin with. Some advantage.
"Yeah, I was killed." Matt murmured the words. At the time things hadn't really made sense to him. Why that thing...his doppleganger had waited so long to kill him. Why it had brought him from where it had stashed him back to Thorn. And why he had said Aaron's name... But now the redhead finally understood. And he was pissed"I don't have a gun...Shit." Or a shirt, for that matter. Ironic considering he'd just told the elf guy who set him free to put one on. Even more ironic since "he" was the one who told him to take it off to begin with. "Whatever. I'll kill him with my fuckin' bare hands." He blinked and looked at B directly for the first time, reminded that he wasn't alone
( ... )
This situation was a puzzle, and there were large pieces of the puzzle still missing, B can determine that much - he's only able to make the faintest trace of sense out of what Matt is saying now. B's customary verbal trickery wouldn't be of much use in these circumstances - he decides it's best to use a direct approach.
"Matt, I'm afraid I don't understand - what thing are you talking about?" B tilts his head to one side, still eying Matt critically. He nibbles at the tip of his thumb momentarily, then continues: "Who did this to you?"
