There was some fear tangled in that she hadn't experienced before, but she shoved it aside. She needed to go after Elena and bring her back.

The blond-haired Turk kept checking the safety on her gun as it rested in her holster. Soon she arrived in the square. Keep your head clear and think of it as a mission. It is a mission. Zack didn't bother creeping up to the meeting point, not when he knew Cloud was waiting. What normally would have brought out the playful side of him, the smiling, one-arm-slung-around-strong-shoulders side, was gone and replaced with a confident, serious, battle-eyed Zack. This wasn't about just a mission any more; it was a rescue agenda.

With Princess Guard grasped tightly in one hand, Aerith arrived at the specified destination. She was already beginning to feel jittery, nervous, but she gave her comrades a half-hearted smile nonetheless.
"Ready when everyone else is." She felt her heart skip a beat, and she prayed silently that the confrontation ahead of them wouldn't turn too ugly. With the amount of people they had, it was unlikely, but the bad guys never really played fair.
