This Matt was very different from the one Yohji had known. All the same, Bod had no memories of either, and so they were both new to him. He'd been told about his Somebody's relationship to Matt, but it was difficult for him to conceive of.

Perhaps it was the curiosity fueled by a new Nobody's yearning emptiness, pushed in a particular direction by a name that drove Bod's consciousness to observe the memory.
