[apologies in advance for icons... LJ LEFT ME WITH A BUNCH OF WEIRD ONES]

[A tall red haired (and we mean FIRE RED here, guys) wearing a mask in the likeness of a phoenix and a long black trenchcoat sweeps through the crowds like a shadow... though not nearly as insidious, as evidenced by the slightly dorky grin on his face. The lights, the sounds, the colors! What to do first?

His grumbling stomach made the decision for him, and the Nobody Axel got in line for a funnel cake]

[then, after waiting in line for a grand total of maybe 3 minutes;] Man, could this line be any slower? How long does it take to throw dough in a fryer!

Nothing, huh? [he narrows those green eyes of his behind his mask and puts his hand on her head, just standing there for a moment. He doesn't believe you for one second, kiddo. BUT...! He lifts his hand and begins to remove his gloves because, dammit, it's too warm for these. Then he puts them in his pocket] Fine! Stand here and keep me company while I wait for this uhhh... [squints at the sign] Funnel cake? ... Why the heck's it called that? It looks like deep fried worms, not funnels.

Yeah, they do. They pour the batter in a tunnel and that's why it looks all ropey. It's really sweet.
