Hey, at least you're currently devoting your livelihood to the betterment of people. I make my money off helping society remain a bunch of inebriate degenerates. My only defense to the contrary is that I make beer that tastes better.

hmm...I remember at a lab meeting once, my boss was saying cancer was difficult to cure b/c the signaling pathways are so complicated, otherwise we would have done it by now. And then another coworker chimed in with "I thought we just wanted job security." XP
