The women are right. My "friend" is not reliable, conscientious, hard-working, or a good student. I would not and have not recommended her for jobs, when people have asked me who is a good person to hire (as two employers just did).
She graduated from nursing school two years ago, yet she failed the NCLEX THREE times and only passed on her fourth try. She often does not follow through with what she says. I would not trust her as a nurse. To this day, she has not found a job as a beginning RN.
So actually, it's a good thing she has not been hired. I'd worry about being her patient.
In fact, last night I was reevaluating why I am still wasting time with her as a friend.
I have decided to cut off our friendship. So yeah, in the end it's the quality of your performance that gets you the job and keeps you the position.
