But that's the way the world (and psychology) works, according to Gracian's experience. I notice business people and managers tend to act more opaque like this. Their notes are very short (one line), they don't let you know what they are thinking, etc. Comes from long experience.

I have a copy of The Art of Worldly Wisdom, used to be in my bedside table and I'd randomly read a few items before going to sleep. Always interesting, and usually "true," though sometimes I would decide I didn't care to act/think in that particular way. Not sure where I've put my copy, but if I find it, I'll find a few of my favorites to share. (Out of town for a week soon, so won't be around much on LJ.)

I thought her videos on "How to Find the Right Person (12 keys to compatibility)" made lots of sense.

She also talks about how to date, flirt, 6 types of women, 7 deadly dating sins, what people look for, etc.
