Seeing all of the mourning for 9/11 it really makes me understand how proud I am to be in America where I am free and I really hope the best for those who lost loved ones

i hear ya - definately. its weird to me though, i dont totally agree with bush in every facet, no way - but the only thing that stands out in my mind is all the lives that could potentially still be lost with combat. i'm would also like a democrat in office for the next term, but one thing that i fear is that, if it is a fact that this whole war is only associated with the republicans, there is a chance for them to come back at every election - if thats the case and they dont finish what they really want to do or have in mind for foreign investments, i fear it may be drawn out even longer than we would like for it to over gaps of years. i'd rather just get this war over with now that we are obviously heavily involved. also, without support and morale, i think these soldiers may not do as well. im not for war, but if we are already there and its beyond our control - might as well cheer them on and hope they return back to their previous lives unharmed and still intact. just a thought if nothing else

more democrats have seats in office now, plus seeing the big mess george w did as a republican, nobody wants another one in right now
