I'm trying to learn to understand my boyfriends delima. His dad died of cancer when he in his early teens. He got the same cancer his freshman year at A&M and had to drop the football team because of chemo. He survived but has had a turbulent life. Now his mom has been ill since December and he had to leave me, quit his job and move to Snyder (bfe west texas) to care for her and he says she's still not getting better. I think he's mentally preparing to lose her too. Still having both my parents, it's hard for me to comprehend but I realize they're getting old and I wonder if I'll ever be ready for the inevitable. I can only hope he's by my side then to help me cope. Your post helps me to remember to not neglect the little things my parents do for me. Thank you.
