I'm kind of a fan of the Adobe Digital Editions for reading books on PC. It formats them nicely.

Where do you get Adobe Digital Editions? To be honest if it were an adobe file, the reading might have been easier than the kindle for PC which really does have too many bells and whistles.

Hey, I'm amused you read The Amulet of Samarkand. I read that back in 2007 on the recommendation of some of my internet friends - I was really disappointed in it. I found it painfully boring and difficult to get through. I don't know if part of that was the circumstances under which I was reading it - I didn't enjoy a lot of the books I read while I was in China, pretty much only enjoyed the Henry James - but, yeah, I wouldn't recommend buying it full price ;-)

I was expecting more from it based on the premise, but it did turn out to be a bit of a disappointment. I don't know if I'll read the rest of the series, will probably just look it up on Wikipedia. Didn't like the main character who was the young wizard, who was just annoying.

Yeah, I really don't have any desire to read any more of that series. It didn't inspire me at all. Have you read The Demon's Lexicon and its sequels yet? As you may have noticed, I really recommend that one!
