I have a query to make regarding the purpose of the comm, and please note I'm trying to be nice, this is a genuine question. :)

Are we meant to be making fun of the trends or actually using them in a legimate manner? The reason I ask is that it makes voting hard for me, because I don't know if I'm looking for something that's...how can I say...lame. XD I don't want to insult anyone, but I like to get my voting right. And my entries!

i understand where you're coming from, and that's why i want to know people's opinion on whether they take it seriosuly or, as just a bit of fun? what would you prefer?

could we do it both ways, and specify week to week as to whether we're making fun of the trend or whether it should be taken seriously?

Well I see it as being in jest- it might help us generate more members if we make that our focus. Having said that, 23 members is a good show-up considering we're only into our second challenge!

To be honest I'll be happy either way, (and yes we could alternate it as you suggest) -it's a bit of a guilty pleasure being able to create icons that are unashamedly trendy, I get to explore stuff I normally (snobbishly) wouldn't touch! ;D
