I've been having a whole bunch of Braxton-Hickses since yesterday...or at least I think that's what they are, since last pregnancy I didn't really feel them at all so I'm not sure what they're supposed to feel like. They only last for, like, five seconds at a time, so I don't know ( Read more... )

I had Braxton-Hicks contractions throughout almost my entire pregnancy, though I couldn't figure out what it was until somewhere toward the end.

The website won't work for me, either.

How did you figure it out?

Well, I had this weird tightening feeling from like 20 weeks or so, and it would happen (oddly) whenever I was in a moving vehicle. I still don't get that part. But anyway, I don't remember exactly how I figured it out, but I knew it was uncomfortable. Also, I knew that it wasn't "real" contraction because it didn't hurt.

I just tried. The Hanes website won't work for me either. So I guess it's an Israel thing, perhaps?

What are you interested from the hanes site. maybe it will let me send you the pages as a copy and paste or link.

ah, good old braxton hicks. they can be hard contractions but do not progress and last several seconds. since you are at the end --when in doubt ask the MD. with both boys i had them for at least 50% of my pregnancy. it would be funny looking if the baby had moved into certain positions that makes you look lopsided. since i worked to the end with michael (in an ob gyn office) everyone new when i was having one. towards the end i stopped buying new uniforms and they were snug. there was this big belly in a contraction leaning towards the right side or left side.

Thanks, but I still get emails from Hanes and even when I direct click to different links, it still doesn't work. The whole domain is inaccessible.

You're so lucky! I had painful bhcs for half of my pregnancy. At times they were extremely frequent - every 4 minutes even! In the end I could not distinguish between bhcs and the first stage of labor, though active labor was very noticably different! I hope you have a happy and healthy rest of your pregnancy!
