See, a lot of times Smash annoys me because of the way he is with the other players. It's like he wants no one else to notice anyone else on the field but he can't play the game by himself. His attitude gets on my nerves big time.

I think they are going for a Tim/Lyla to see first how the audience reacts. I think Lyla is attracted to Tim. They slept together in the first season - even if it was a mistake. Down in Mexico she pulled away from him and went to pray - instead of staying and dealing with her problems.

Santiago could be an interesting addition to the cast. I just guessed that he had other things going on growing up that he didn't pay attention to football.

I found the entire Tami/Shelley relationship to be very realistic also.

I get that Smash is arrogant, but it doesn't bother me so much because when it comes down to it, he's a nice guy. He's friendly, he's responsible, he's honest (most of the time). He's a little immature with his big head, but that's not the worst character flaw on the show.

True, we do see that he is a nice guy but sometimes it seems like he's only that way when he wants to be. I guess the "big head" is what really annoys me about him but you're right - not the worst character flaw on the show by far. Maybe the most human and realistic though.
