Actually, a Clash of the Titans review, which I saw last night. Not my favorite movie of the year.

This is somewhat late, but...
Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is really worth getting. Smoothed out some of the Phantom Hourglass bits and it controls surprisingly well for a stylus game on my tiny DS screen.
Off to get force gems. -
Saw avatar if somewhat through beer goggles
Hey, I saw James 'see, I can TOO still make movies' Cameron's epic film, Avatar recently. In glorious 3-D, no less. A film noted by critics that, apparently, Yes Virginia, being pretty enough can overcome story flaws. There are some parts of the movie that have some trouble holding together on examination, I felt, but I'll try and be gentle.

Fifteen years? Really?
Warcraft is fifteen years old. (See?) That's kinda amazing. Solid game series, you can probably still pick up the 2 and 3 battle chests, so worth doing (I still see Starcraft for sales in stores. That's not just amazing, it's unprecedented) And WoW itself is five ( Read more... ) -

Nothing major I'm ready to report (though I do suggest seeing the Informant! (the exclamation point means quality) and Zombieland)

Went with a friend to GenCon, I'll try to hit the high points.

Late review
Sorry, I've been sick and I"ve got GenCon reactions I'd like to post and also sick. My friend and I were pleased 'knowing is half the battle' got worked in less than thirty minutes into the film.
( Seriously, kind of ill, slowing me way down. ) -

I currently have from Netflix both Akira Kurosawa's epic take on Lear (which makes the movie two masters at work) Ran and the best (which makes it 'okay') of Hasbro's pre-film greatest attempt to sell toys in the Unicron Trilogy Transformers Cybertron's ultimate edition 2nd disc (in other words, the actual second part of the third series in the ( Read more... ) -

After so long, the original Battlemechs, (the ones cadged from a bunch of old anime (most notabbly Macross/Robotech) are back in their pre-Phoenix forms. The original shapes and mechanics.
Weather temperatures for hell are expected in the low Kelvins.
