just say no to nwa

So, I was in Colorado this weekend visiting the GF (and bringing her her cat--I miss him already) and had to endure an awfully messed-up return flight that involved me flying on four different planes and spending the night at a sketchy Days Inn in Atlanta. Obviously, this was not the original plan, but Northwest (which I am never flying again) is ( Read more... )

You were going from Colorado to Rochester, right? HOW THE FUCK DID YOU END UP IN ATLANTA? Sue, my worm. SUE. I kid. Knee-jerk reaction, sorry.

I got the same result as you but the picture is different? I don't know.

The world sucks, that's how. No, seriously, it was either that or fly to Detroit and then home and arrive much later in the afternoon. I choose the less efficient but speedier option and went to Atlanta. Apparently my luggage really wanted to go the Detroit route though, since it went without me. I actually really like Atlanta. I wish I'd been able to stay for more than 6 hours--and all that time in a dingy motel.

You should write a story where Lorelei and Claire don't know each other but end up stranded together at an airport and decide to share a dingy hotel room together even though they're strangers. Hijinks ensue. And one of them can have a baby.

That's actually a really good a idea. I'll think about it during Civil Procedure.

At least you're home now, right? Has it stopped snowing yet?

Civil procedure is the devil, seriously. You'd do better to think of something fun.

I have bad memories - and a whole half-day of my jurisdiction's bar exam is dedicated to state civ pro, so I had to take state & federal & freaking Barbri on it. At least now I can recite Rule 4 when I have trouble sleeping.

I wish I'd known you were stuck in Atlanta - it's only two hours away, I would've saved you from the sketchy Days Inn! I've been looking for another excuse to go Lush shopping.

Oh, that's very sweet of you. Unfortunately, even if I had known you were so close, it probably wouldn't have been worth it. I barely got to sleep 6 hours before I had to go back to the airport for my flight the next morning. I just thought the Days Inn was preferable to sleeping in the airport. Which it was. Despite the sketchiness.

I have friends in Birmingham, AL and Macon, GA, though and was planning to visit someday soon. I'll definitely let you know; it's be fun to hang out!
