I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I've gone to a few ukulele gatherings ... and learned about many, many more in my area.

Ukes have become very popular lately...don't know what caused it.

A few ukesters thought it was because of the economy. Ukes are cheaper than many other instruments, are portable and are convenient for social gatherings.

I thought it was due to "Hey Soul Sister" by Train.

I don't care much for ukelele music but I adore slack key guitar. Doesn't make much sense, I know.

If I am inspired to write a song based on one of your stories, I'll try to remember to play it on guitar even if it was written with the help of an ukulele. :)
