[Passing through with a group of friends, off for a weekend trip, but the lone figure looks familiar, so she pulls away from them.]

Umm... hi?

[There was enough credits in her hand to get her to San Fran without even stopping at her Grandma's. She felt bad for even considering using the money Chris was pushing on her but..]

Where are you all going?

Houston. The philharmonic orchestra is doing a production with the ballet company an older friend of ours just joined.

[Hopefully, the stop in the exchange of credits was a good sign for Chris' cause.]

You're still dancing?

[Slightly jealous Tonia was jealous. She had given that up about the time she had stopped talking to Christine. Her dad had made her do it.. it was a waste of time and money from his pocket.]

That sounds great..

Yeah, the barre's still my best friend.

[And while she joked about it eating up her life and the friends she had through it, it was the only real passion she'd ever found. It was that one thing she could always count on.]

Are you?

....Dad made me stop. He said there wasn't a future in it and that it was a waste of time. I had to focus on soccer and work. Not personal play time.

[Oh she had yelled at him for it. Tears streaming down her cheeks, threatening to run away, the works if he didn't let her back in. It hadn't worked and three years later she was trying. This was her third and most successful attempt so far at it.]

It's great to hear you still do it.. You were always a good dancer.
