Actually upon discussion, we'd appreciate it if for the comm you'd follow the format above but you're more than welcome to post how you want on your LJs.
In the case of disclaimers, we're going to put one on the comm in general so that the notifications won't get too long here. Word count will be added though.
I have a question about the crossposting restriction. I crosspost all my journal entries to three journals (DW/LJ/IJ) and post all my art additionally to my deviantArt account, to my Wordpress fanart-only blog and my website. (what can I say, I like redundancy and to give audience the choice of their favorite platform *g*)
As these are all my personal spaces, not communities, it is okay to post my art as I normally do?
Yes. We don't want to dictate people's personal art/fic posting practices. Dreamwidth/lj/blog etc posting as you post usually is perfectly fine. We just would want the main notifications to be kept to the community and linkbacks so that we can direct more traffic here.
1) Is it ok to post to DeviantArt rather than my lj? Since that's where I usually host my art, and where I'd like people's links/bookmarks etc to go to. EDIT: Never mind, I see you've answered this already, thanks.
2)Apologies for being dense: On my posting day, I put my art online (at lj or DA) and then do one of (a)contact my author with the link so she can post here, or (b)wait for her to contact me with the link to her story and then I post here. Yes? What happens if one of us doesn't do our part, does the other just wait? (I like to be prepared for the worst, up to and including my internet going down or whatever :))
3)What rough timezone are we using? I'm Australian, so the 14th for me is about a day ahead of the 14th for most of the rest of you.
1) Yes. Just mention the location in your link so that people know it's not an lj link :)
2) The author and artist make posts on their own journals (or deviantart in your case) and then one of you (fight it out amongst yoruselves :D) makes a post to this comm according to the template above with all relevant information and links. There should be only one post per team of author and artist, and you should discuss it ahead of time. Unless there is no fic for the art at all (or vice versa i.e. someone dropped out without notification), all posts should have both fic and art links before being posted here. So, yes, waiting would be right, but hopefully it won't come to that for anyone and everyone will work out the specifics beforehand.
3) Any timezone is fine. As long as it's still that day in your timezone (for whoever's posting), you're good.
