[She starts to reach out to him, stopping herself just before she makes contact, hand dropping back to her side]

[He doesn't notice she's there until he hears her speak. He turns towards her when she does, though, and acknowledges her with a tilt of his head.]

[Spock turns to Kirk, and he actually looks surprised for a moment before his expression is muted, once again.]

Only that this place is nuts. The computer consoles 're all heavily advanced, but I was able ta get one ta identify this place as Starbase ∞.

That is quite a strange name for a Starbase. I have never heard of one referred to in that manner before. Perhaps we should seek out the party in charge and attempt to gain the answers to our questions from him, or her.

Unfortunately not. I have been attempting to determine the answers to those questions and have thus far come up with nothing. Lieutenant Commander Scott claims we are in a place known as "Starbase Infinity", but that is all the information I have been able to procure.
