[Today if you visit the active Holo deck, you'll be absorbed in snow. That's right. For some crazy reason, James T. Kirk san 8 Days has decided to program Delta Vega into the holo deck. It might take a bit for you to find the guy in the snow. But hell, it'd make one hell of a snowball fight.

[ poor ambassador spock has found himself seemingly back on delta vega instead of on the fledgling vulcan colony where he should be. he is without any sort of comm, so he sets fourth walking...and walking...and-- ]

Jim?

[Kirk's head snaps up from his thoughts. He stares... he didn't program Ambassador Spock into this thing.]

... Spock?

[ he nods ]

Yes, Jim. It is me.

[Kirk looks around then looks back at Spock. He gives him that typical "Spock, what the hell" face of his]

Great. Now I'm delusional.

[paradaxical]

[She's not prepared for a blizzard. But then again, she doesn't want to end the program either. After all, he's the one who's initiated it. So she trudges on, trying to ignore the sleet and the snow and the cold. She calls out his name repeatedly, but she doubts it even registers above the howl of the wind.]

[Kirk pauses then turns to face the winds. He sees Jadzia's figure and stands there numbly. Now he's wondering if she knows his tracking frequency.]

[Jadzia sees him at last, silhouetted against the white and makes her way towards him.]

This is some program. It has to be below freezing.

[She draws nearer and comes to stop a few feet away.]

[He looks around then turns back to her with a shrug.]

It's cold, yeah.

[thrusters]

[ new arrival scotty happens to materialise on the holodeck and is, as you can assume, just ecstatic about it. ]

Oi! Now why would ye go an' do tha'?

[ he's shouting to be heard over the wind and cold and why is he back on delta vega. he can't remember losing anyone's prize pets via transporter miscalculation since the beagle, really. ]

[Kirk looks over from sitting in the snow. Right after the very mean thread with Jadzia.]

Mr. Scott?

[thrusters]

[ so that's what that amorphous blob is in the snow. it becomes clearer the more he nears it, though it's not an enormous comfort. he could be here because of kirk. ]

Do ye know anyone else who'd be findin' himself marooned on an ice planet without explanation, cap'n?

[He laughs a bit, shaking his head.]

This isn't the real Delta Vega, Mr. Scott.

[ Without her communicator, which was odd since Kira had her uniform, she was at a loss of how to find Dax and the only option was walking around this damn place to look for her. She'd gone off on her own, leaving Kirk, that other Dax and whoever the hell else was in the vacinity to their own business. Starfleet didn't have her trust her, though Dax was no doubt going to be a form of an answer for her.

After taking a few corridors, and a few more Kira thought she was walking in circles, though a Starfleet station would no doubt look the same all over; the Cardassian design of Deep Space 9 at least had some merits. Walking through one of the doors instead of another corridor Kira wanted to stop, for now. Although when she walked into a blizzard she regretted her decision. After the doors shut behind her and disappeared all Kira could do was keep walking. She did always hate holosuites ]

[Kirk's figure was slightly up ahead as he kept walking. Originally he had no damn idea why he programed Delta Vega into the deck. But as he stumbled around it came back to him. Delta Vega was where he had met the Ambassador. The person he saw as a mentor and gave him advice on the situation that was in front of him. Kirk needed a mentor that understood him, alternate reality or not.

Though he had the doubts that Ambassador Spock would reappear in the simulated Delta Vega, maybe it would just give him a piece of inspiration.]

[ The faint outline of someone up ahead kept Kira walking, and despite being unsure if they'd hear her or not it was always worth a try ]

[There was a voice that rang a bell but he couldn't name off the top of his head. He turns to look at the figure coming up.]

[Uhura's heard rumors of the Holo deck, but hasn't been to see it. Until today. She wasn't expecting an ice planet to be the active simulation and also wasn't expecting the simulation to look or feel as real as this does, and therefore is even less appropriately dressed for the weather than Jim is.

She stands, looking at the simulated Delta Vega in shock, until she spots a dark figure in the snow (well, dark compared to the rest of the place at the moment). She has to shout to be heard, what with the snow and everything.]

Hello?

[Now Kirk knew that voice. Uhura... or at least one of them. He turned to look over his shoulder at her figure. She wasn't that far behind him... and was dressed about as good as he was.]

[She had a suspicion about who it was when she saw him, and now that suspicion's been confirmed. She frowns, squinting at him for a second just to make sure (all the white is really bright), then starts making her way through the snow.]

Jim? What are you doing? [And what the hell is this simulation, she doesn't ask, but the question's evident in her tone of voice.]

Wandering around in the snow of course, Uhura.
