godisachildDon't believe a word you've heard about me.

It's very rare for Frances to find someone who isn't a complete and utter idiot. It's even rarer for her to find someone she actually respects. Pokey is one of those people. He's standoffish and rude, but so is she. He doesn't really know how to... act around people, but neither does she. She can tell that he's brilliant, more brilliant that any normal kid has any right being, but she doesn't really mind, as long as he's on her side.
A-And it's not like she likes him or anything, stupid!

One of her fellow operatives from home, Frances dislikes Nigel for the usual reasons of A. he's a boy, B. he's a boy, and, of course, C. he's a boy... However, she does have the slightest smidgen of respect for him as a leader. She just doesn't know what Rachel sees in him.

wolf_faerieIt may well be it's followed me across the seas.

What are the chances that Frances would find someone who fits both of her criteria for instant friendship, someone who is both female and Irish? Aisling goes above and beyond by also being a faerie, basically becoming every imaginary friend Frances has created since she was old enough to feel loneliness. She isn't used to having friends, and like hell some evil adults are going to take one away from her. There are few people Frances will kill for, instead of just kill. Aisling is one of them.
