Oh, this was really cute, and very different! I adore Scotty, and he doesn't get enough love. Particularly love the hints of Scotty/Uhura in there, as they are my tiny little TOS ship. :D

I'm glad that you enjoyed this -- thanks for telling me!

(I couldn't resist the hints of Scotty/Uhura - it's TOS canon, after all!)

OMG, I love it! It's sweet, very regular-life stuff, and it gives a great look into what Starfleet's best engineer does on a slow day. Thank you so much! I really adored the 'overuse of bureaucratic forms' myself, and the fact you had him drinking tea instead of kicking back shots, and all of that. Just awesome. So, so awesome.

I am really glad that you enjoyed this!

I can now confess that I've been lurking around your LJ, reading your fic, and definitely thinking about the various essays you've written on Scotty's characterization (and accent!).

and yes, tea! who drinks alcohol on duty (besides McCoy)? it's enough that he's got playing cards on hand...

There, the right screenname:

LOL! I'm honored! Most of it was venting, though. ::laughs:: But yes, I loved this. I've had a really bad couple of weeks in real life and this just made me smile and laugh right when I needed it. So, thank you.

Aw, I really like this -- such a nice slice of life on the Enterprise. McCoy's cracked me up. Why don't tech people ever come up with easy-to-remember passwords? ;-)

thanks so much! and yes, passwords given by tech people do tend to be needlessly complex -- I have one that is currently escaping me right now...
