Since I started watching Battlestar Galactica, I've been nothing but impressed. The beauty and chief utility of science fiction is its ability to operate as its own reality and a metaphor in the same instance. The parallels to the Iraq War and to America's legacy of racism in the first two seasons was, in my opinion, incredibly well done. And now, in the S3 premiere, the show has taken on the issue of suicide bombings and with an original airdate about a year after the end of the Second Intifada. AND the IDF policy of administrative detention?!
This is a courageous fracking show.
