EXCITED! I love fairytale remakes so much and this story has always annoyed me!

I like the sound of your characters. They sound very well thought out. (: I love Lucian being a jerk and a arrogant and a bit of a crier (:

OMG TREETING YAY!
In conclusion: can't wait for more (:

Hi Kendra! I like the sound of Del, she sounds very practical and tough, and likely to keep that boy Lucien in line. I look forward to Del's trickery! :)

I love the name Adelaide something crazy. I campaigned for my dog to be named that! Alas, she was named Bella. Though she's a cutie all the same.

Also I think I will be in love with Lucien from page one, thank ya all the same. And yay for something that isn't gigantic in scale! That is wonderful. I look forward fiercely to seeing this come to life!

This sounds so cool, Kendra, and super adorable!!! I'm pretty much squeeing in my seat at the staff computer right now! Basically, I adore this idea.

(Though, I must say, I never thought too hard about the whole fairytale. Now that you mention it, it does seem pretty ridiculous... haha, critical thinking = not my strong suit)

Sounding great, of course! :) As to your question of how it should be told, I'd go for a more linear style; I feel like having almost all of the romance and relationship development between Del and Lucien be flashback would make it feel too abrupt and a little contrived. I am also biased toward linear because I personally prefer it as a storytelling style, though, so keep that in mind. Plus, you can always throw in political stuff and foreshadowing if you think you're losing the thread of the fairytale part; it's not like the actual tale itself takes very long: beyond mention of the princesses who fail the test, it's just a night and a morning.
