When I look at clothing shops its so hard to not get all excited for a beautiful dress or jumper. My problem is that I have JSKs and an OP but hardly any blouses or other basics I need. I have two brand blouse one from Baby and one from Innocent world both which are long sleeves which isn't very good for warm weather. And four non-brand blouse one ( Read more... )

i have the same exact issue actually! i think it's because....buying "basics" is not as fun as buying a gorgeous new JSK XD i only have one blouse and two cutsews. i don't own a bolero and the only lolita purse i have is usakumya. so you're not the only one, hahaha

When I started lolita, there was no way I could fit into brand, then with loosing weight came the first skirts, and so one. But since I'm a shopping addict I bought a hell lot of hats, bags, parasols and so one. I took me nearly a year to get a outfit to my first items, a AP schoolbag and parasol. In this year I had only one single blouse, commisioned from a friend. ^^
Finally I decided, that I had to buy basics, so I got 2 fan+friend blouses, 1 from in the starlight (which I am VERY satisfied with!) and made one myself. It's a lot easier for me now to go out in lolita sponatneously. *g*

I have ordered blouses from F+F and all of the buttons fell off and I ordered from In the starlight in 2004/2005 and the quality and design was horrible but I have heard the quality is better now I just wouldn't want to take the chance again.

Well, for fan+friend. One blouse was fine from the start, the other on it had to adjust the arms, but I wouldn't order a blouse there again. Maybe skirts or things that are not that complicated to fit.
I'm wondering about inthestarlight. Well, I think I wouldn't buy a dress there, I do not like the designs or fabrics enough, but mine is a basic blouse and it's sewn well. ^^ But I understand that you don't take chances, if you have bad experience.
