You saw last week's, so you know his gf wanted to have his kid, right?

Well, Shirley found out and asked him why he was reluctant to have kids, and he was all "I come from a long line of dreadful fathers, and it only seems to get worse with every generation." Jerry walked in at the end of the conversation, and later on he told Alan that he thought he'd be the BEST DAD EVAR. :DDDD

But it was ultimately decided that there would be no Shorelings running about.

A+, BL writers. I say avoid the possibility of a pregnant storyline at all costs. But AWWWW, JERRY! <3

I am now imagining what Jimmy would say... he does have pretty high father standards to breach, and he'd probably never admit to Alan that Alan's become a slight shade of a father figure (although, everyone is a father figure to Jimmy, it's ridiculous). He would say that Alan has been an exceptional friend, one he hopes to never lose, and that he'd be sure Alan's children would have the same sentiment. And then Caleb would call dibs on being the cool uncle, and it'd all go downhill from there.

Did we know Alan's dad was dreadful before this? I hope they don't pull a House and start talking about how Alan was abused.
