“Take him around again. He says he wants to go around again.” Tim Riggins sighed in disbelief and dropped into the seat behind his father, his bare back dragging and squeaking against the blue-and-white striped leather.

“Is he sure?” Walt asked, looking over his shoulder past Tim as he drove the borrowed 16-foot motorboat in a sweeping arc. “ ( Read more... )

Alexandria? I'm from Chevy Chase (now living in Colorado). I didn't know No. Virginians had taste!

Nice! I love to see scenes referenced, but not filmed. I still am skeptical about the Riggins boys and water skiing, but then again they all golf.

Aw, poor Jay, almost done in by Walt, like the rest of the boys.

So you got the throw-back reference to Walt/Tim's fireside conversation in "Blinders" about trying to get Jason up on water skiis back when they were like 10 or 11 or 12 or whatever? I started to worry I shouldn't assume that everybody would remember that.

Yeah, I'm originally from upstate NY, so I think that's where the "taste" comes from. :)

I've pretty much watched every Riggins' interaction 8 kajabillion times, so I do remember Walt's reference.

I just mean, it seemed--out of place to me when he said it. I mean, I can see them all borrowing a boat and going out for the day, Walt with the cooler of beer, getting progressively drunker as he tools the kids around. But the implication that the Rigginses did it on any sort of regular basis. I dunno *shrugs*

It's canon, so I can't fight it, it just struck me as odd.

Yeah, I hear ya. If those guys skiied it'd have to be in that Texas-totally-reckless-with-complete-disregard-for -life-or-grace-kind-of-way. You know, messy! ("Kajabillion"? Love it.)
