Yep! Though mostly it's about Cherie Currie since it's largely based on her book. Joan was directly involved in the production of the movie though. Lita and Jackie are both upset about it and didn't give permission for their stories so they end up being mostly non-people. Lita gets to yell at Cherie a couple of times and Jackie's name is changed to 'Robin' and she has no lines at all. It's too bad they couldn't do a more rounded picture, but when you look up the comments and interviews from various people it makes sense why they couldn't.
I still enjoyed it, and went and read Cherie's book (near the end the movie stops making as much sense, turns out that's partly because from Japan on in the movie they are doing the most screwing with the timeline to make it fit (some of what happens in Japan, really happened before then, some of the stuff at the end really happened a few years later)).
