Dis-Orderly

Mar 16, 2009 23:43

The following entries are not in order by time. Given a choice between entering them in chronological order or not entering them at all, I chose vanilla.

1. I hate constantly being a week behind in my entries. I don't like playing catch0up.

2. I burned two fingers on my left hand yesterday, while carelessly removing plastic from a bowl of broccoli ( Read more... )

Thanks, X.
I appreciate your comments. Currently --not to put any pressure on you-- you are the only beta reader I have. Even if I could send Earthbow through a workshop (online or local) at the rate of a chapter a month, it would take the better part of a year for me to get feedback on the manuscript.

I thank God for my spiritual director. She has made a huge difference in my spiritual life since last September aka a total of 6 hours in 7 months.

No pressure! Since I can't usually afford to go and buy books - it works out that having you send me chapters gives me something good to read :-)

Fire away!

Wow! I'm not sure how to answer some of this. It can be so hard to read people's emotions behind their words in emails or blog entries. (Hence, emoticons) In this case, I have been laying a huge responsibility on you for some time now re beta reading Earthbow. That makes it especially important that I understand how you really feel about doing so ( ... )

Happy Birthday, Vartha! You is two. Hard to believe it's been two years since Justynn and I brought that tiny bit of black fluff to your house. Vartha, I hope you have a big blow out birthday party for your twos!

Sorry to hear about your knees and back and neck. I sometimes still have knee pain from when I fell on the concrete, even though the one knee was repaired. Both knees are better, but sometimes they still get uncomfortable for no apparent reason. I hope your physical therapy gets you fixed up and in good shape again soon.

I'm glad you got some editing done. Hang in there, we'll trounce some pesky manuscript pages at Editmania! tonight!

First re Vartha: How could such a tiny bit of black fluff become such a pesky and endearing cat? My heart melts each time she puts her front paws on my knee, head bumps my arm and stretches one paw -waa-aay up in the air -- All to say "PLEASE RUB MY FOREHEAD LOTS!"

I remember about your knee. Before physical therapy comes true confession with our doctor and then rescheduling of PT. I will call on Monday, honest.

Re the editing, I have now completed just short of 100 pages of about 373. (Maybe between 35,000 and 40,000 words?)
