I was inspired to write this because of a thread at the Lost Genre Guild on the same subject.
I actually have nothing extraordinarily new. I'm just plugging away at many of the same things you've heard me talk about.
1. I'm reading Kat's "Finding Angel"

Sometimes it feels impossible with working all the time, but lucky thing I love writing, I guess.
Hope you find that ending for your story and good luck with your summer projects!

You said, "Sometimes it feels impossible with working all the time..."
Well, it ain't easy. Back from about 1979 to the early/mid-80's, I wrote the first drafts of my first two novels (Seabird and Earthbow) and about 2/3 of the humungous G&B, while I was working full time. I totally get where you're coming from.
Thanks for the well-wishing re the end for G&B!

I've been working this summer and it's been rather stressful overall, but I've used my spare time for reading, including the second volume of Earthbow and several works by Diana Wynne Jones.

I did the LT friending bit a few hours ago, and glanced briefly at the books we have in common--which is a bunch!
I hoped you liked Earthbow vol.2. Which DWJ are you reading?
Which Coinh members are on LT? I think I saw Seraphim Sigrist, but didn't notice anyone else. I seem to be one of the few people who is basically using their own name on the site, so it's hard to figure out who is who.
I'm sorry that work this summer has been stressful. I hope that it gets better.

I did like Earthbow, but like you said a while back, it's very dark for most of it. The one major section of non-dark was very beautiful, though.
The DWJ books I've read are the Chrestomanci series and the two Derkholm books (which seem perfectly set up for at least another one, if only...). Currently I'm on the third book of the Dalemark Quartet. Before that I've only read Howl's Moving Castle and its two companion books/sequels. Any suggestions of what else I should read?

And a few other projects, such as translating for Amadis of Gaul, at http://amadisofgaul.blogspot.com/, so I'm ahead of the curve when I start posting again in September.
That, and a little reading, is filling up my free time.
Thanks for asking! Alas, there's no beach anywhere near me.

I'm sure you're both excited & relieved about finishing your final draft. Congrats!
I went to your site, and found your description of the Amadis book fascinating! I wish I had time to backtrack and read all of the chapters you've pubbed so far.
Sorry about the no beach. Guess we'll have to suffer together--even though ironically we're separated by an ocean.
Since you are in Spain, I thought you might find the following site interesting. The photographer filmed everything from El Teide:
