picspammy's january challenge is favourite character. you'll never guess who i chose.
once upon a time there was a little show called the x files. you may have heard of it. if you know me, you already know how i feel about scully. if you don't know me, well, i can't imagine that you'd really care.
thanks to lightlack, who has put up with me babbling at her about this for more than a week now. and to ginger_delirium, who puts up with my babbling on a constant basis. he has been, as always, incredibly patient with my love for this fictional woman.
i should point out, before we begin, that photoshop and i eye one another warily whenever we meet. if anything looks pretty here, it is far more to do with a happy accident than any skill on my part.
Season 1
Agent Mulder, I'm Dana Scully. I've been assigned to work with you.
Season 2
I know the world is full of predators, just as it has always been. And I know it's my job to protect people from them. And I've counted on that fact to give me faith in my ability to do what I do... I want that faith back... I need it back.

SCULLY: Even if I knew for certain, I wouldn't change a day.

PRIEST: Has it occurred to you that maybe this, too, is part of what you were meant to understand?

STRUGHOLD: Then you must take away what he holds most valuable. That with which he can't live without.
MULDER: I'm not going to watch you die, Scully, because of some hollow personal cause of mine. Go be a doctor. Go be a doctor while you still can.
SCULLY: I can't. I won't. Mulder, I'll be a doctor, but my work is here with you now. That virus that I was exposed to, whatever it is, it has a cure. You held it in your hand. How many other lives can we save? Look ... if I quit now, they win.
