I watch House very casually due to the fact that it's a medical show. If they ever do a TV show about English graduate students in Australia, you will understand. But House and Cuddy are beautiful to me because of how you write them. And Cuddy is very smart and sexy, too. The end. When I get my 50 new icon spaces I will get a House icon and a Cuddy icon. That pole dance episode sounds intriguing. I will keep an eye out for it...

re: the pole dancing. this vid gives you the highlights. caveat: it's a fantasy i house has. also, what's half the sexiness in the episode is that they're doing a differential diagnosis while she strips. rrowr.

They're running a House marathon on USA channel here in the States today, and I've been watching a good bit of it. (They seem to be running a significant story arc somewhat out of order.) I've only recently gotten into the show and I must credit something you wrote not too long ago, a smutty, HAWT dream-sequence starring Cuddy and House, for piquing my interest. Excellent crash course in Cuddy appreciation. I will admit I haven't appreciated Cuddy as much as I've wanted to in the few episodes I've seen, but I will keep this in mind. Especially the pole dancing.

I saw Lisa Edelstein on an American talk show recently. WOW. Pretty and sexy and bubbly and interesting. And with great hair.

this is not to say, of course, that everyone likes cuddy. there is some quite strong anti-cuddy sentiment out there. and i won't hold it against you if you give her a fair shot and decide she's not for you, promise. :) that said, i recommend S1/2 cuddy the most highly. although the current S5 cuddy is getting a lot of emotional depth that i appreciate, i'm not sure how well that comes across if you don't see her being kick-ass first.

i've only written two house fics, though i've signed up for a house/cuddy secret santa so there'll at least be a third by the end of the year. i can recommend some good writers if you're interested in reading more than just my porn.

lisa edelstein is incredibly vivacious. i love seeing her interviewed because she's just so funny and engaged. she's a lot like gillian in that way, though much more outgoing i think.

anyway! i'm glad you enjoyed the post. thank you for suggesting it because i enjoyed pinpointing my reasoning. i think it's made me appreciate her character even more.

Yes, please recommend authors! There's a network in the States that's running the show all the time now, so I imagine I will be watching more of it. I do enjoy House himself. I will keep my eye on Cuddy. My feeling about her is that she has potential I would like to see realized. It could be that I will latch onto anything that seems promising. Or I could swing the other way and call it inadequate. Time will tell.
