I don't know if it's because I have been at this job longer than I have any job since before I graduated college or the fact that the notion has just set in recently that I'll be turning 25 this year.  Either way, it has finally set in that I definitely do not want to do this forever.  I work in a gas station.  Wasn't exactly my life's ambition to ( Read more... )

Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm a little closer to 30 than you are and I'm not happy with where I'm going either. At least you've gone to school. I hate my job. But I have no idea where to start and what I want to do. So I just sit back and procrastinate. :-P

Totally right there with you! I've tried working on the novel again. It's sporatic, but at least it keeps the dream alive.

I'm still working on that too...and I don't think I'm assured doing my career not to listen to people bitch about stupid shit. But that's what you get if you do any kind of public service for the most part.

I worked in a bakery, a dry cleaners, and a department store before I found my career. I would work all day and come home and spend at least an hour on the online job posts. I also took a job that sucked (law firm) because I knew that on my resume working in an office sounded better than working at a bakery.

Work really hard, and something better will come along.
