That's pretty interesting. When I had my ex and I broke up, we promised one another that we'd remain friends, etc. But enough time and distance gave me the clarity to see how nasty she had been when we were dating.

I wouldn't "friend" one of my exes for various reasons: One, I don't think I'd have much interesting in keeping up with them. Secondly, I'm married, and being friends with exes when you're with someone else is wrong and can be hurtful to the other person.

Hope that a random person's response to the post isn't too strange.

No, it's not strange at all. It gives my a lot of perspective, in fact. I had forgotten that one of the reasons I had defriended him was I because of some of the very nasty things he had said to me.

I think that it's very wise not to friend exes if you're in a committed relationship, especially in the case of marriage.
