Haven't I been a bad mod? (Yes I have, feel free to spank me!) But I have to thank you guys for keeping the Much love going with your fabulous fics and other wonderful contributions - I know Much very much appreciated it! Anyway, it's about time we did something special, so here's...
The Treat Much Right Valentine's Day Ficathon 2009
This is going to be a drabble-writing challenge, especially for Valentine's Day. Here are the rules:
1) You write a drabble (story of exactly 100 words) that has to be set on a Valentine's Day. It doesn't matter what Valentine's Day it is (could be pre-series or mid-series or post-series) and you don't actually have to mention in the drabble itself that it's Valentine's Day, because we'll already know. You can add any notes about the timing in the notes section of your header. Oh, and obviously there is supposed to be some Much love in there, but how you treat it is up to you!
2) The history buffs among you might complain that there was no link between St Valentine and romance until Chaucer invented the idea (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine's_Day for more information). But we don't care about anachronisms here, so no complaining please ;) In your story, it's up to you how you portray Valentine's Day (fully blown feast, nothing to do with romance, a shadow of the celebrations to come in the future, etc.).

4) Please post your drabble as a separate post in this community and tag it 'Valentine 2009'.
5) Deadline for submissions is Midnight Saturday 14th February GMT.
6) In the end we'll have a competition where everyone will get to vote for their favourite drabble. If you specifically don't want to take part in the competition and just want to write one for fun, please make that clear when you post.
