Heh, like hulamoth I was a bit upset to see Marian being so lighthearted about putting Guy through hell ;) but I do appreciate your explanation, WYG! :) And it did occur to me that Marian was glad for Guy as well as LJ. Can't wait to get a glimpse of her thoughts. Her exchange with Matilda was delightful.

I really had not even thought of it being interpreted like that. Marian smiles
- because she's happy to see Matilda
- because her plan to get Matilda up to see her has worked (and she can move that stone away!) and
- because she's just come up with an idea of how to rescue John.

Her happiness here is in no way related to Guy. She may spare Guy a thought when Matilda's not there but that's not the focus of this scene. (I really can't see her trying to elicit sympathy for Gisborne from Matilda.)

She's also (in this scene anyway) not overly concerned about Robin's worrying either - if anything she's slightly annoyed with him! - but you and hulamoth don't seem to have picked up on that... ;)

I promise she will consider Guy's actions (all of them!) later... I just want to get John out of there!

Wow - it's tiring trying to please all of the people all of the time! I should just go back to writing simple evil-baddie!Guy... ;)

Actually, I did pick up on her being slightly annoyed at Robin! :) and yes, it all makes perfect sense. Please go on! :D

Great chapter! Marian and Matilda are both such crafty women, it's wonderful to see them plotting together. Marian felt so wonderfully right and in character here - well done on that!
