Fic: Hope for Healing - Chapter 5

Mar 30, 2010 11:31

A/N: Sorry (again!) to those of you expecting this yesterday. Initially I was waiting for the rh_press update but by the time I'd decided to stop doing that, the whole day had gone to hell in a handbasket (snow, wind, leaky roof - not a great combination). Thursday's will be up on Thursday since I'll be back at work (hopefully with my own laptop restored ( Read more... )

Oh, ouch! That thing looks nasty.

Poor John. It's wonderful that he's alive again but eek!

Amazing how inventive people can be when it comes to hurting other people isn't it? :(

John's not in a good place right now but at least there's one friendly (if slightly grumpy) face around...

Heretic's fork, huh? I'm pretty sure your research for this story has placed you on someone's "watch list." (Maybe your laptop didn't just "die" if you know what I mean...)

Conspiracy theories about the author aside...I like this. It plays to both my Dark and Light sides quite well. Your compassionate if misguided Guy is very well done. And lovely work with the castle guard contingent as well.

Can't wait to see what John figures out with the moss intrusion. (Just don't bring a cute lil mouse into the picture, okay?)

Googling for "sleep deprivation" and "stress positions" probably rang a few bells somewhere...

But on the plus side none of this is stuff I've just made up myself so you know it's not my warped little mind coming up with it. ;)

Glad you're enjoying it and you like Guy and the guard.

John's not really going to get a chance to consider interior decor much more. He was just trying to distract himself by thinking about other things - but the guard's quite keen on getting his attention... :(

There will be no mice - unless I feel the need to mention Much's dinner ingredients in a later chapter.

Yikes, what's wrong with Marian? :-/ Poor John; you make his suffering (and fortitude) very vivid without going into overly graphic detail. Guy's mix of cruelty and compassion/vulnerability is captured really well here, and the Sheriff is, as usual, awesome in a love-to-hate-him kind of way.

Um, I suck and am behind on this week's rh_press. Apologies.

Still dealing with some dreaded form of lurgy I picked up on your side of The Pond, but I just wanted to say I'm loving the story, esp. now John is definitely not dead.

Yay for cracks in the walls though. This isn't going to involve a tiny mouse, is it? ;)

No need to apologise - it must be a nightmare comiling that - especially if you're not feeling up to par. Sorry to hear you have Brit-flu.

Not sorry you love the story ;)

Floor - the crack is in the floor - and it's very small - and there are no mice... and John is chained to the ceiling... and there will be absolutely no hang-gliding...

And no he's not allowed a poster of Lady Marian and a rock hammer either... ;)

OMG! That was totally my first thought...i.e. "hmm, I wonder if he can get a 12th century pinup girl poster to cover up the crack..."

Get out of my brain, you! ;)

LOL!

"Did he say why he wanted a 6ft woodcut of Queen Eleanor?"

"I didn't like to ask, my Lord..."

So good! And I'm glad you're giving details but not too gruesome details! Poor Little John! Such inner and outer strength! Poor Marian too! And indeed, poor misguided Guy! (Let's hang the sheriff!!>;( )

There is no rope worthy of being a noose aroung Vaysey's neck. Just give it up already. ;)
