How did I miss this? (I don't check this comm much, that's how.) Very well done and in character for both. We didn't get enough Allan by far in the third season, so it's nice to see this "outtake."

Thank you! You're not the only one who missed it. Poor Allan, no one checks his comm anymore! I suppose I should cross-post it to robinhoodfic.

Nicely done! It would have been nice to get something like this on the show, not just to give Allan more to do, but also because it shows Kate being reflective and not entirely useless.

I can't believe I didn't read this when you first posted it, especially as this comm usually shows up on my LJ feed, lol.

Thanks! It started as Kate looking into those beautiful blues of Allan's and rethinking the fangirling Robin thing. I meant to be really mean to her: pratfalls, mockery and the like, but it turned into something else.

I wish Kate had been more useful. I could have gotten behind another strong female member of the gang.

A lot of the comms are getting a little dusty over here. That makes me kind of sad.

Really loved this! Nice to see Kate in a mode like this---trying to do something and prove herself. And I adore Allan/Kate. Lovely job on the writing.

Aside from all the other loveliness of 3x06 Do You Love Me?, I found myself quite liking Kate (after she was wounded and given "scrofula") because she did something that was clever and quite useful for the situation.

I love Kate getting distracted by Allan’s blue eyes even when he’s angry! That’s a great description of their interaction there, too. I can totally envision it happening. This is a nice side of Allan, where he’s pleased to have his skills acknowledged and something to offer, and he’s responsible for teaching Kate to protect herself. Actually, this is something that would have made lot of sense on the show, and it reads like a great missing scene. Thanks for sharing!

Well, who wouldn't be distracted by those gorgeous eyes? :)

There was just not enough of the gang in S3 and I've always had a soft spot for the blagger. There was that one scene with Much and Robin training, but we never saw anything else like that. I can't imagine Kate just popping into the forest knowing right away how to wield a sword.
