Hahahaha!!! Oh Allan, you always know how to get yourself into trouble. I hope that money wasn't meant for the community chest- what would Robin say? I'd love to know who the girl was- she seems like she'd be a useful member of the gang. (Assuming it's not Kate.) :P

No, I don't think the money was meant for the community chest. (Though I confess to not know when, in the series, this scene actually occurs. Though I'd rather it did not happen after Allan is spying, he does have his cups and pea--which we're sort of told he first gets just as Gisborne catches him out.)
No, the girl is not Kate.
I had meant to write it so that it would seem to be he was talking to the reader (so it's you, GClio, it's me, it's...whomever) b/c who, really, doesn't want Allan to attempt to pull the wool so charmingly over their eyes (and who doesn't want to prove they could best him at it, catching his attention?)
See, I assume every girl does, but then again, I love me some Allan. ;)

Allan got taken by more than just a pretty face!

I like that we only hear Allan speaking, describing her & himself. Well done!

Thank you!
Yes, I enjoy too much, perhaps, the notion of Allan 'meeting his match' so to speak. (I mean, you're Allan, who can't you charm and fast-talk? What does it take to truly catch his eye?)
Glad you enjoyed the POV of the piece!

I love this... I love Allan's voice, and I love that he gets taken for all he's worth by... whoever she is.
