I absolutely agree with you about what should have happend after Robin's demise. Until Allan's fate came to light I had it all planned out. There'd be a power struggle between Tuck, Archer, and Allan to decide who should lead, and Allan would eventually win through. Then there would be continual friction (and not the good sort!) between the three of them to the end of the season. But what do I know?

I agree Guy should have survived, so he and Allan could play the reversal of roles game - imagine his face being ordered around by Allan. :)
I agree I wouldn't miss Kate if she died. In fact I liked the character so little I can't even be bothered to think of a clever way to get rid of her - maybe she falls down a well, with spikes at the bottom, and that's that. Or, Allan banishes her for upsetting Much in the previous series.
Archer I would keep, though I don't like the name, but only as eye candy. Maybe he could be used to lure female villans into traps - basically every week he'd be tied to a tree with his shirt off.
Can't wait to see your series 4 ficlet.

You just never know when something will pop into your head. I ended up writing this in one day, and what started it off was hearing somebody do an impression of Michael Caine saying the "blow the bloody doors off" line. I could just hear Allan saying it, and it all went from there. Coming up with a middle ages replacement for Mini Coopers held me up for quite a while though.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks :)

I would have loved to have seen the escape sequence on Shetland Ponies. Maybe I should get in touch with Ridley Scott - Russell Crowe on a pony! :D

And I loved the bit about LJ at the end. Money well spent indeed!
