Orginally put "Rogers" in the title; I was thinking of Wooden Rogers from The Republic of Pirates (don't quote me on the title there), which as I read more of I wonder if Eiichiro Oda knew anything about the content. Possibly

Interesting thoughts. You seem almost a little disappointed, though? I would imagine Gold Roger is one of things Oda has planned out many years ago, so you could argue that his story will be less developed than all the more recent events, such as Ace's capture, and the newly introduced captains. I'm guilty of loving Law like most of the fandom seem to, and your idea of multiple Kumas is an interesting one...especially since the Schibukai are meant to be at war right now.

That's a good point about Roger's story-- it should have been worked out a lot earlier. I don't know if I'm dissapointed, so much as I was surprised that fans actually were right about Roger turning himself in. Though, if I had thought about it, I'm not sure how impressive he would have been if the marines had just captured him, since reasonably they have trouble dealing with pirates, hence the Shichibukai.
What do you think of what's going on; your thoughts and all that? (Curious of course...)

I can see a few directions things can go in, but I honestly can't tell where Oda is heading next. I was suspecting we'd have a 'get the hell out of there' part where the pirates flee the arcipeligo before the Admiral arrived, but obviously that's not the case.

Roger's reincarnation....?

Maybe the fact that all the pirates seem to sacrifice everything for luffy, (shanks arm, rayleigh's identity) is because luffy is Gol D. Roger. I am not sure how it is possible, maybe roger's ability, or maybe something to do with his treasure one piece and what happened during the void century. of course there is little evidence for this, however it would make sense since roger said he will never die, and shanks sacrificed his arm, and rayleigh seems interested in him. of course im basing all this from watching the anime and what you wrote....
