It's pretty phenomenally good. I'd been told by a trustworthy friend that Kundera's non-Unbearable Lightness work didn't live up to it, and maybe it's just that it's been nearing two years since I read that, but this book, picked up off Kelly's shelf the day she was sick and I'd forgotten to bring a book for the hospital waiting room, is certainly no disappointment.

Also remember the copy I have (Kelly's, but I bet we could find you one if you cared and/or didn't want to ask to borrow hers) is supposedly a "better" translation. Don't know if that matters to you or not, but something to consider.
